Minnie Bell McIntyre Hill, 102, 311 West Holly St., died Friday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.

A homegoing celebration will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at New Stoney Hill Holy Church, 1003 Poplar St., with pastor elder H. E. McNair officiating. Immedi-ately following the celebration of her life and legacy, her mortal remains will be laid to rest at Hooks Grove Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Pikeville.

She was the first of 13 children born to the late Rev. Daniel and Daisy Moore McIntyre.

She attended Wayne County Schools in the Fremont district and later worked at J.P. Taylor Factory until she retired.

She was the oldest member of the New Stoney Hill Holy Church. Sister Hill was one of the first children who joined Stoney Hill Church, which was founded in 1903. Her father, the Rev. Daniel McIntyre, was the pastor.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by all of her siblings; her husband, Roscoe Hill; and her stepson, Chester Hill.

The viewing will be Tuesday from 2 to 6 p.m. at McIntyre Funeral Home Ministries, 900 S. George St.

The family will receive friends at an inspirational wake service from 7 to 8 p.m. at New Stoney Hill Holy Church. At other times the family will receive friends at the home, where they will also assemble for the funeral procession.
