HAZEL W. CHESSER

Hazel Ward Chesser, 84, passed away Monday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 6 p.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home, with the Rev. Dann Patrick and the Rev. Jonathan Ange officiating. Interment will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park.
Hazel was born in Wayne County on Oct. 24, 1924, to the late Lonnie Ward and Carrie Langston Ward. She was married to the late Harvey R. Chesser.
Along with her husband, Hazel owned and operated Highway 70 Mobile Home Park.
Hazel is survived by her son, Mike Woodard and wife, Karen, of Goldsboro; her daughter, Kathy Woodard of Goldsboro; her step-children, Connie Brown and husband, Thomas, of Mardela Springs, Del., Patricia Williams of Deep Creek, Va., and Barbara Joseph Jewell and husband, Danny, of Seaford, Del; and eight grand-children.

The family will receive friends Wednesday following the service at Seymour Funeral Home.
