BURNISE STRICKLAND

MOUNT OLIVE -- Burnise O. Strickland, 91, formerly of Dobbersville, died Friday.
Services will be held today at Brownings United Methodist Church at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Leland Heath officiating. Burial will be in Wayne Memorial Park.
Survivors include a son, Garrett and wife, June Strickland of Mount Olive; a daughter, Miriam Strickland of Raleigh; grandson, Reginald and wife, Laura Strickland; great-grandchildren, Lauren Strickland, Will Strickland, Savannah Strickland, Grayson Strickland; special friends and caregivers, Janet Harris, Fran White and Mary Anna Taylor.
Her husband, George Sheldon Strickland; and grandson, George Sheldon Strickland II, preceded her in death.
The family would like to thank all the staff at Rex Rehabilitation and Nursing Care Center.
The family received friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 p.m. Saturday.
