Daisy Simmons Outlaw Fields, 87, died Tuesday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.

Graveside services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Willow Dale Cemetery, with the Rev. Ryan Rasmussen officiating.

Mrs. Fields was born in Duplin County on Jan. 2, 1922, to the late Paul Outlaw and Donnie Simmons Outlaw. She was married to the late James Arthur Fields.

Mrs. Fields was a member of First Presbyterian Church.

Mrs. Fields is survived by her daughters, Donna Jacobs of Elizabeth City and June Fields of Goldsboro; her sisters, Maybelle Grady of Kinston and Edna Joyce Grady of Seven Springs; her brother, Alger Outlaw and wife, Rachel, of Kinston; her grandchildren, Danny Jacobs and wife, Denise, and Eddie Jacobs and special friend, Megan, all of Elizabeth City; two great-grandchildren, James Jacobs and Daniels Jacobs; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at her home.
