Charlotte Kornegay Hargrove, 86, 191 Luby Byrd Road, died Tuesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
The funeral was held Saturday at Tyndall Funeral Home. Burial was held in Maplewood Cemetery. Lunch was served for the family by Stanford Presbyterian Church.
She was the daughter of the late Alvah and Eliza Lane Kornegay and the widow of Rudolph Hargrove.
She is survived by four sons and two daughters, Steve Hargrove and wife, Gloria, of Indio, Calif., Douglas Hargrove and wife, Marcella, of Seattle, Wash., Leland Hargrove and wife, Norma, of Ocala, Fla., Pamela Oakes and husband, Joe, of Faison, Kathleen Summerlin and husband, Buddy, of Mount Olive and Kochise Hargrove of the home; a sister, Pattie K. Young of Maryland; 17 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra Brinton, and two sons, Lane K. Hargrove and Joseph N. Hargrove.
