Joseph Robert Newhard, 80, died Tuesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Wayne Memorial Park with full military honors.
He was born in Allentown, Pa., to the late Wilmer and Maisy Hall Newhard and was married to the late Georgia Rae Mazurko Newhard.
Newhard is survived by two sons.
He was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.
The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 p.m. Friday at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home.
Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home of Goldsboro is serving the family.
