ROSE HILL -- Vernett Carr, 86, 978 Pasture Branch Road, died Tuesday at Pender Memorial Hospital in Burgaw.
Funeral services will be held at First Baptist Charity Church in Rose Hill at 3 p.m. Saturday, with the Rev. Johnny Pearson officiating. Burial will follow at Carr Family Cemetery in Rose Hill.
Mrs. Carr was the widow of the late Johnnie Rushion Carr.
She is survived by seven children.
A visitation will be held Friday at Rose Hill Funeral Home from 7 to 8 p.m. and at other times at the home.
