HAZEL D. WADDELL
Died April 5, 2009
Hazel Davis Waddell, 82, wife of the late Aaron B. Waddell, went to be with the Lord Sunday, April 5, 2009.
She was the daughter of the late Frank and Gertrude Davis.
Hazel was a devoted wife and mother and loved her Lord and family to the end. She was known in her community as a prayer warrior and touched many lives through her prayers.
There will be a graveside service conducted by her nephew, the Rev. Merrill Davis, at Elmwood Cemetery, Fremont, on Tuesday at 11 a.m.
Hazel is survived by one daughter, Sandra Waddell Thornton and husband, Dean, of Grantham; three sons, Jerry Waddell and wife, Mary Jo, of Grantham, Curtis Waddell of Newport and Jackie Waddell and wife, Sandra, of Goldsboro; two sisters, Peggy Mooring of Middlesex and Lois Norman and husband, Cliff, of Jacksonville; one brother, Lawton Davis and wife, Faye, of Middlesex; 10 grandchildren; nine great- grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Hannah Coley, and two brothers, Thurman Davis and Norwood Davis.
The family would like to express sincere appreciation for the care and love given to our mom by Connie Parks and the staff at Sutton's Retirement Center.
