VIVIAN K. TURNAGE

July 28, 1933-April 3, 2009

Vivian Kearney Turnage, 75, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, early Friday morning at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be held today at 2 at Brogden Chapel Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. Tom Dorman officiating. Burial will follow at Wayne Memorial Park.

She was the daughter of the late Mamie and William Kearney, and was the wife of the late Warren S. Turnage. Mrs. Turnage was a member of Brogden Chapel Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church.

The family received friends Saturday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk funeral home.

Mrs. Turnage is survived by two sons, Sidney Turnage and wife, Sheila, and Glenn Turnage and wife, Sandy, all of Goldsboro; a brother, James Kearney of Richmond, Va.; a sister, Tempie Hartly and husband, Adell, of Goldsboro; and two grandchildren, Ashley and Mark Turnage.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Turnage was preceded in death by a sister, Hazel Evans.

Flowers are welcome, or memorial donations may be made to Brogden Chapel Church, 1060 Emmaus Church Rd., Dudley, N.C., 28333.
