Lloyd Cole, 75, 181 Charlie Braswell Road, died Sunday at Britthaven of Goldsboro.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Eugene Worley and the Rev. Justin Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.

Born in Johnston County, he was the son of the late Leon and Lucy Langston Cole and father of the late Jennifer Cole. Lloyd retired from the Wayne County Landfill with 20 years of service and Howell Construction Company with 30 years of service. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Princeton.

Mr. Cole is survived by his wife of 53 years, Naomi Cole; one son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Sandra Cole of Princeton; one brother, John Cole of Coats; three sisters, Lois Blackmon and Eva Brunner, both of Goldsboro, and Diane Farmer of Newton Grove; two grandchildren, Kimberly Strickland and husband, Jason, Adam Cole and wife, Andrea, all of Princeton; a special niece, Seanna Copeland of LaGrange; and several nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jason Strickland, Adam Cole, Andy Cole, Rex Herring, Pete Bradford and Wayne Sutton.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home.
