PIKEVILLE -- Dorothy Mary Covar, 77, passed away Tuesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
The family will receive friends today from 3 to 5 and from 7 to 8:30 and Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church with the Rev. Thomas Norris O.S.F.S. officiating. Graveside services will follow Friday at 2 p.m. at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville.
Mrs. Covar was born in Staten Island, N.Y., on Oct. 1, 1931, to the late Andrew and Mary Gallagher Oefelein.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Covar, and five children.
Arrangements are being handled by Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro.
