Roberta Barnes Davis, 60, Silver Spring, Md., formerly of Goldsboro, died Saturday at her residence.
A service to celebrate the life of Roberta will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Greenleaf Christian Church, 2110 N. Wilson Hwy., with the Rev. Dr. William Barber, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 1 to 2 p.m. at the church prior to the funeral service. The family will receive friends at all other times at the home of Chris and Sylvia Simon, 615 N.C. Hwy. 581 N., Goldsboro, 919-922-2218.
Mrs. Davis is survived by one daughter, Consuella Davis Chikwinya (Wesley) of Puyallup, Wash.; two sons, Dwayne H. Davis of Silver Spring, Md., and Wayne L. Davis of Tacoma, Wash.; one stepson, Gary Woodard (Carlotta) of Dudley; three grandchildren, Haatsari, Danai and Nyasha; two sisters, Cassandra Barnes Chisolm (Anthony) of Lakewood, Wash., and Gladys Barnes Roseboro of Rock Hill, S.C.; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
