LAGRANGE -- Robert Earl Bizzell, 61, 105 Best St., LaGrange, died Friday at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at noon at St. Luke Free Will Baptist Church, 306 W. King St., LaGrange, with Dr. Joe N. Dixon officiating. Burial will follow at Pinelawn Cemetery in Kinston.

Mr. Robert E. Bizzell was a native of Duplin County, but at an early age moved to Lenoir County where he attended the public schools. He was a loyal and dedicated member of St. Luke Free Will Baptist Church where he served as president of the Mens' Fellowship and chairman of the Deacon Board. He was a faithful Sunday school member also.

He is survived by his wife, Emma Alfreda Bizzell of the home; eight sisters, Retha Edwards, Mamie Weeks, Annie Doris Bizzell, Edna Jean Summer, Darria Bizzell, Bredna Manley, Janice Bizzell and Jackie Bizzell; two sisters-in-law, Retha Mae Whitfield and Frances Robinson; mother-in-law, Emma P. Robinson; four aunts, Mamie Lofton, Delphine Morgan, Mary Morris and Annie Ruth Garner; seven brothers, Melvin Morgan, Claude C. Bizzell, Jimmy Donnell Bizzell, Lindsey Bizzell, Daul Wayne Bizzell, Robert Bizzell and Ronnie Bizzell; four brothers-in-law, Alexander Waters, Elijah Manley, Stanley Robinson and Greg Robinson; two uncles, Raymond Morgan and Leamon Morgan; one great-uncle, Earl Sutton; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Arrangements are being handled by Mitchell's Funeral Home, 1000 Howell St., Greenville.
