Sheriff offers $1,000 award for information on missing woman

Wayne County Sheriff Carey Winders has authorized a $1,000 award for information leading to the whereabouts of Teresa Darlene McCullen.

Mrs. McCullen was reported missing on September 26, 2010. She was last known to be at her home on Old Grantham Road on September 13, 2010

Mrs. McCullen is described as 48 years of age, 5 foot 5 inches tall, 130 pounds, auburn colored hair, normally a curly hair style, brown colored eyes, freckles and a scar on the right side of her chin. She is of American Indian heritage.

Contact the Sheriff's Office at 731-1481, if you have any information at all on Mrs. McCullen's whereabouts.

Nearly $18,000 taken from car lot

Darryl Floars Motor Cars reported $17,825 in stolen merchandise, including 1999 Mitsubishi Montero Sport, 2000 Plymouth Neon and a 2001 Dodge Neon. Several keys were also taken along with a television and laptop. A Chevy Silveraldo had been ran into a metal pole on site, according to a report.

Man arrested for stealing drainage grates

Wayne Country Sheriff's deputies arrested a Dudley man Monday for allegedly stealing 30 cast iron drainage grates from the floor of a local business over the weekend. The Sheriff's Office was notified by employees, who also contacted local salvage yards asking them to be on the lookout for the grates.

As they were doing so, according to a report, one scrap yard said that a vehicle had just come in with a bunch of grates. The suspect was arrested after leaving the scap yard while traveling on U.S. 117 South. Arrested was Israel Carrillo Sanchez, 34, Colonial Warrick Road, Dudley. He was charged with breaking and entering, larceny and possession of stolen property. The property was returned to the owner.

During a brake light violation on Bryan Boulevard, a Wayne County Sheriff's deputy recovered a Honda CR125 dirt bike that had been reported stolen, according to a report. The dirt bike, valued at $3,500, was found in bed of a truck driven by Christopher O'Neal Jones, 22, Lime Street.
