Pet Supplies Plus to hold pet costume contest

Ghouls and goblins will be barking, meowing and maybe even hissing at the annual Halloween Pets and People Party.
Animals of all kinds will be in their fanciest Halloween costumes Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m. at Pet Supplies Plus. There is a $10 entry fee for each pet, which will be donated to the Wayne County Humane Society.
First place prize for the best costume will be a year's supply of pet food from Pet Supplies Plus. There will also be prizes for second and third places.
Owners are encouraged to take their people in costume, too.
Q97.7 will be on hand for a live broadcast, and there will be pizza from Brooklyn Pizzeria.
Door prizes will be available, such as a porcelain angel, a bedspread set, a Mt. Olive Pickle Co. pickle pack, an umbrella and gift certificates from restaurants and department stores.
