Man, 25, arrested in county for Pitt murder

The Wayne County Sheriff's Office provided a K-9 unit and dive team ito assist with the investigation of a Pitt County murder that led to the arrest of one suspect in Goldsboro.

Hue Sutton, 77, of Leary Bills Road in Pitt County was reported missing on Sunday.

Tuesday night, Sutton's remains were found in a wooded area behind his home. Pitt County investigators believe Sutton was killed by a gunshot.

Investigators at Pitt County Sheriff's Office were led to Wayne County in search of Jason Walters, 25, one of two known suspects in the case.

With the assistance of Wayne County Sheriff's Office K-9 unit, Walters was found and taken into custody Tuesday afternoon at a Goldsboro business.

Sutton's vehicle was retrieved from a retention pond in Wanye County near Arrington Bridge Road Tuesday night.

The Wayne County Sheriff's Office Dive Team and the Arrington Fire Department assisted in locating and retriving of the vehicle.

A second suspect, Michael Aaron Bray, 21, was taken into custody in Onslow County.

The investigation is ongoing.
