Wayne Christian wins championship

Wayne Christian School claimed the 2010 N.C. Independent Schools Athletic Association 1-A boys' cross country state championship contested Friday morning in western North Carolina. The Eagles' Connor Jones, who won the Bill Kemp Invitational earlier this week, claimed second overall in the individual portion of the race. Wayne Christian defeated Davidson Day School by a slim margin for the team title. For more details, see Sunday's print edition of the News-Argus.
