Saturday will be the last day that voters can cast ballots ahead of Tuesday's general election.

Early voting continued today at the Wayne County Public Library on Ash Street, the Woodmen of the World building at 3733 U.S. 117 North and at Southern Academy (the former Carver High School) at 612 S. Breazeale Ave. in Mount Olive.

Those polling places were to be open today until 5 p.m.

On Saturday, voters can still beat Tuesday's lines at the polls, by voting at one of the three locations from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m.

On Election Day, all polls in Wayne County will be open from 6:30 a.m. until 7:30 p.m.

As of this morning, 11,576 Wayne residents already had cast ballots, said officials at the Wayne County Elections Board.
