Langley Barnes punched in two goals and Wayne Country Day eliminated Greenfield, 3-1, in semifinal-round play of the Coastal Plains Independent 1-A Conference tournament Thursday.
Barnes scored an unassisted goal in the first half and benefited from a Hannah McKeithan pass in the second half. Ally Willman provided a first-half mark.
"We switched some things up tonight and dominated the game," WCDS head coach Steve Ellis said. "Hopefully we will come out tomorrow ready to play."
Weather permitting, Community Christian plays host to the Chargers in the CPIC tournament final today. Kickoff is 7 p.m.
