GIRLS' TENNIS: Eastern Wayne turns back New Bern in doubles

Eastern Wayne emerged victorious at Nos. 2 and 3 doubles, and upended New Bern, 5-4, on the Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A Conference scene Thursday afternoon.
The No. 2 doubles of Elizabeth Sutton-Emily Uzzell posted an 8-2 win. Teammates Bella Bowen-Samantha Roux claimed an 8-1 decision, which kept the Warriors unbeaten in two ECC outings this season.
Sutton, Bowen and Roux each won in singles.
Eastern Wayne (2-1 overall) visits Fike next Tuesday.
