STORY: Wayne Christian spikers top WCDS in straight sets

Wayne Christian handed county and Coastal Plains Independent 1-A Conference rival Wayne Country Day a 25-7, 25-18, 25-15 loss inside Clifford Gymnatorium on Friday evening.
The Eagles scored the first 15 points of the opening set with Holly Gurley on serve. Gurley had a perfect serving percentage (1.000), two aces and six digs during the three-set sweep.
Ashlee Harrelson posted eight kills, two aces and five digs. Hannah Sladick logged seven kills and seven aces. Kasey Norris passed out 22, including four backside assists to Sladick.
Wayne Christian (9-1 overall, 2-0 CPIC) entertains Goldsboro on Monday.
