STORY: Panthers close out Rebels in 2nd half

PINETOWN -- Will Archer accounted for 128 yards of total offense in North Duplin's 28-10, non-conference road loss at Northside on Friday evening.
Archer broke free for a 45-yard touchdown with 8-plus minutes left in the second quarter. The first-year signal caller completed three passes for 46 -- two to Luke Britt for 34 total yards and a 12-yard strike to Dylan Jones.
Colby Craig put the Rebels on the board with a 26-yard field goal, his first of the season, with 4:18 left in the opening quarter.
Northside scored a touchdown in each period.
Kenny Sheppard complemented Archer with a 40-yard rushing performance. Colby Bass rambled for 55 yards on nine totes.
ND had 223 yards of total offense.
The Rebels (0-2 overall) hit the road next Thursday for a non-conference contest at South Lenoir.
Kickoff is 7 p.m. in Deep Run.
