CBA's Phillips throws perfect game against J.H. Rose

GREENVILLE -- Pitt Community College signee Allie Phillips threw her first-ever perfect game as Charles B. Aycock hammered out a 17-0 victory over J.H. Rose on Wednesday evening.
The left-hander recorded 10 strikeouts inside the circle, and the Golden Falcons (22-1 overall) clinched the Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A Conference regular-season championship outright.
Phillips, Taylor Waddell, Cara Lenzi (two RBI), Taylor Puetz (two RBI) and Hannah Vinson (two RBI) provided two hits apiece offensively.
Weather permitting, C.B. Aycock (11-0 ECC) concludes regular-season play today at county foe Eastern Wayne. First pitch is 6 p.m.
