Rams defeat Chargers in battle for ECC 2A playoff seed

La GRANGE -- Dylan Benton emerged as the winning pitcher in relief, and Greene Central claimed the No. 3 seed for the playoffs from the Eastern Carolina 2-A Conference with a 6-3 triumph over Ayden-Grifton on Saturday afternoon.
The teams played at North Lenoir.
Benton worked 3 1/3 innings for the Rams, who earned their 10th win of the season. Horner (RBI) and Matt Mewborn collected two hits apiece.
