Hawks earn share of ECC 2A baseball title

North Lenoir clinched the Eastern Carolina 2-A Conference regular-season championship with a 10-2 triumph over county rival Kinston on Wednesday evening.
Drew Rogers threw a complete-game five hitter and retired seven Vikings on strikeouts.
Garrett Letchworth (three RBI) and Allen Sutton (five RBI) paced the Hawks' offense with four hits apiece. Zach Turner, Braxton Greene and Jackson Sullivan each contributed two hits.
Weather permitting, North Lenoir (13-6 overall, 9-0 ECC) is the guest of South Lenoir today.
