Gators put Neuse Charter away by halftime

SEVEN SPRINGS -- Spring Creek scored nine times in the first half and beat Neuse Charter via the mercy-rule, 9-0, in a Carolina 1-A Conference game Wednesday.
Senior Otto Binar had two goals and two assists. Noeh Avila had two goals and an assist. Juan Vega (one goal, one assist), Alberto Lara (penalty kick), Alejandro Marrero-Peralta (goal), David Ortiz-Alvarez (goal), Alex Ambriz (goal) and Martin Reynaga (assist) also contributed in the win.
Spring Creek travels to Lakewood today. Kickoff is 6 p.m.
