Fulghum swats home run, Aycock run-rules Triton

PIKEVILLE -- Keely Fulghum homered in Charles B. Aycock's 10-0 dismantling of Triton in the first round of the NCHSAA 3-A playoffs Tuesday evening.
McKenzie Wheeler added two hts and three RBI for the Golden Falcons, which scored seven runs in the fourth inning.
Allie Phillips threw all five innings in the mercy-rule affair. She surrendered three hits and struck out four batters.
Aycock faces the Topsail-Richlands winner in the second round.
