• Larry White threw a no-hitter, and North Duplin opened Carolina 1-A Conference play with a 17-1 victory over Goldsboro on Friday evening.
White fanned 13 Cougars in the mercy rule-shortened contest.
Goldsboro (2-8 overall, 0-1 CC) entertains Rosewood on Tuesday.
