Wayne Christian spikers remain unbeaten in 7 outings this season

Wayne Christian improved to 4-0 in Carolina Christian 1-A Conference play with a 25-16, 25-18, 24-26, 25-17 victory over Norlina on Friday afternoon.
Summer Braithwaite recorded a career-high 10 kills, while Britney O'Hara provided nine service aces and seven kills.
Hanna Kaler handed out 23 assists and put down five kills. Jessica Swets added five digs, four kills and two aces.
The Eagles (7-0 overall) visit Spring Creek on Monday.

WCDS prevails
NEW BERN -- Tyson Pearson scored three times and Zach Syverson provided a goal as Wayne Country Day defeated Epiphany 4-1 on Friday.
Jack Langston assisted on Syverson's goal.
The Chargers (4-1 overall) play host to Wayne Christian on Monday.

* Charles B. Aycock 32, Rosewood 14 -- A.J. Mundle rushed for 189 yards and three touchdowns for the Golden Falcons. Collin DuBose provided 72 yards on the ground and a touchdown. Quarterback Adam Pate was 3-for-5 passing for 25 yards.
