Knights' Frazer earns league honor

Junior Sam Frazer, who hails from Goldsboro, has been named the Conference Carolinas women's soccer player of the week.
An Eastern Wayne graduate, Frazer tallied the "golden goal" in the 109th minute of a 2-1, season-opening triumph over Chowan University. Normally a defender, Frazer made a run on a long volley that skipped past the Hawks keeper.
It was Frazer's second collegiate goal.
