ROSE ALPHIN WILLIAMS

June 30, 1951-June 5, 2018

Rose Alphin Williams, 66, lifelong resident of the Wayne and Duplin County areas, passed away early Tuesday morning, June 5, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center. 

Her life will be remembered in a service to be held Friday, June 8, at 7 p.m. at Tyndall Funeral Home. Presiding will be Doug Wiggins Jr.

A time of visitation will follow the service.

In lieu of flowers, it was Rose's request that memorial gifts be made to COPD Foundation, 3300 Ponce De Leon Blvd, Miami, Fla., 33134. 

Rose is survived by five children, Michael Alphin and wife, Kim, of LaGrange, Charles Bell and wife, Cristy, of Goldsboro, Kim Driebergen and husband, Billy, of Mississippi, Yancey Williams and significant other, Sarah Worley, of Clayton and Jennifer Williams and significant other, Alan Brackett, of Mount Olive; a brother, Tony Alphin of Seven Springs; seven grandchildren, Dusty Weeks, Cody Alphin, Brooke Bell, Katie Alphin, Ashton Driegergen, Nathan Bell and Braden Bell; five great-grandchildren, Logan Weeks, Parker Alphin, Dawson Weeks, Spencer Alphin and Blythe Riggs; and several nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Christopher Driebergen; her parents, Yank and Senora Alphin; a sister, Suzanne Simpson; and three brothers, Roger Alphin, Dennis Alphin and James “Tommy” Alphin. 

To Rose, family was everything. She dearly loved her children and grandchildren, and did whatever possible to make them happy. Their successes were her joy and pride. 

Rose’s working career included many different jobs and positions, and at the time of her retirement, she was employed as district manager with Friendly Mart Food Stores. 

Always to be remembered and never forgotten, may Rose Alphin Williams rest in peace.
