JUDY ROGERS GODWIN

Judy Rogers Godwin, 73, Goldsboro, went to be with her Lord Monday, June 4, 2018, at her home surrounded by her family.

Judy was born in Wayne County Nov. 11, 1944, to the late William Bryant Rogers Sr. and Irene Ham Rogers. She was married to the love of her life, the late Steve Godwin.

Judy was a valued employee of North Carolina Natural Gas for many years.

However her greatest joy was going to the beach or when she could go fishing.

Judy had been an active member of the Family of Faith Church in Goldsboro, volunteering extensively within the church to share the love of God.

Above all, Judy loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her precious grandchildren. She will be missed but greatly remembered.

The family will receive friends Thursday, June 7, 2018, from 6 to 7 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, followed by a service to celebrate Judy’s life at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home, with her pastor, John Earnest, and her brother-in-law, Bill Garner officiating.

The family will also greet friends immediately following the service at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at her home.

Interment will be at 11 a.m. Friday, June 8, 2018, in Godwin Family Cemetery.

Judy is survived by her daughter, Stephanie Darlene Godwin of Goldsboro; son, David Godwin of Goldsboro; grandchildren, Candyce Godwin, Taryn Godwin and Marisa Godwin; and sisters, Ann Rogers Morse and Mary Lou Rogers Garner and husband, Bill.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, William Bryant Rogers Jr.
