Larcey Walston Jr., 86, Snow Hill, died Friday, Jan. 19, 2018, at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville.
He was born Nov. 18, 1931, the son of Larcey and Thelma Smith Walston. Mr. Walston was a native of Greene County, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed watching NASCAR racing, watching his grandsons play football, and doing anything mechanical.
His surviving family includes his sons, Tony Walston and wife, Jill, David Walston and wife, Joann, all of Snow Hill; sisters, Barbara Ann Jordan of Goldsboro and Adean Harrell and husband, Billy Ray, of Walstonburg; grandsons, Justin Walston and wife, Heather, of Deep Run, Dustin Walston and wife, Olivia, of Snow Hill, Harrison Walston of Sumpter, S.C., and Ryan Walston of Snow Hill; and great-grandchildren, Lydia, Ryder, Colt, Ethan and Evan.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 22, 2018, at the Snow Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery and other times at the residence, 290 Eden Church Road, Snow Hill, N.C.
