NANCY LUCILLE ALDRIDGE MITCHELL

Nancy Lucille Aldridge Mitchell, age 80, died Friday evening at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro. Born in Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Helen D. Aldridge, and was the wife of the late Bobby Earl Mitchell.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday at 2 p.m. at Wayne Memorial Park Cemetery, with the Rev. Jim Willoughby officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Nancy was previously employed at Howells Child Care Center.
Nancy is survived by two sons, Gary W. Mitchell of Goldsboro and Dennis Earl Mitchell and wife, Nancy Remona Mitchell, of Goldsboro; a daughter, Shelby Hobbs and her husband, Larry, of Pikeville, N.C.; brothers, Joseph Aldridge, William Aldridge, and Jesse Aldridge; sisters, Jane Head and Mary Vanidestine; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Brothers, Marvin Aldridge, Donnie Aldridge, and Donald Deal, preceded her in death; along with a sister, Ava Aldridge. She also had a grandchild and a great-great-grandchild precede her in death.
