Joseph Martin "Joe" Babish Jr. died Saturday, Sept. 30, 2017, at Opus Nursing Home in Lexington, S.C.
Born in Camden, N.J., he was the son of the late Joseph Martin and Emily Gibson Babish. He was the husband of the late Shirley A. Babish.
He was a member of Emmaus Baptist Church and the Society of Plastics Engineers.
Prior to retirement, he was an insurance salesman with John Alden Life Insurance Co.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, Oct. 28, 2017, at 10 a.m. in Emmaus Baptist Church Cemetery, with the Rev. Jim Willoughby officiating.
Joe is survived by his sons, Jeffrey Babish of Mount Laurel, N.J., and Scott Martin Babish of Fuquay-Varina, N.C.; his daughter, Kathy Ann Baker of Lexington, S.C.; stepson, Philip Ronald Costas of Canton, Pa.; stepdaughter, Deborah Brockway of Langhorne, Pa.; a brother, Donald Babish of Monroe Township, N.J.; two sisters, Dorothy Mae Madajewski of Haddon Township, N.J., and Helen Verratti of Cherry Hill, N.J.; 13 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild
Along with his parents and wife, Joe was preceded in death by a sister, Alice McIntyre of Bellmawr, N.J.
