LEVY PRESTON "PIE" MYERS

Levy Preston "Pie" Myers, 72, Clayton, died Tuesday evening in Laurels of Forest Glenn in Garner.

Born May 3, 1945, in Johnston County to the late Stephen Henry and Annie Ruth Creech Myers, he was preceded in death by two brothers, James Myers and Glenn Myers, and his faithful dog "P.J."

He attended Clayton Church of God of Prophecy.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 27, 2017, in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home in Selma, with the Rev. Ronnie Massey officiating. Burial will follow in Price Cemetery near Selma.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home and at other times, at the home of his sister, Bonnie, 104 Butler Road, Dudley, N.C.

Surviving are his companion of 44 years, JoAnn Fowler; sisters, Bonnie Myers Davis and husband, Jimmy, of Dudley and Shirley D. Myers and companion, Richard Collins, of Goldsboro; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a special friend, Pete Parrish.

Flowers are acceptable or memorials may be made to the Johnston County Animal Shelter, 115 Shelter Way, Smithfield, N.C., 27577.
