Dorothy Jean Kates, 79, 703 S. Audubon Ave., died Friday at Wayne UNC Health Care.
Funeral Mass will be Saturday at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church. Burial will be at Old Mill Cemetery.
She was born Nov. 5, 1937, in Wayne County to Lillie Maude Swift and Percy Carroll.
She is survived by her children.
Visitation will be Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church.
Arrangements are by J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home.
