Mr. Joe Allen Ward, 80, Raleigh, formerly of Wayne County, passed away Saturday, June 24, 2017, at home surrounded by his family.
The celebration of his life will be held Saturday, July 8, 2017, at 1:30 p.m. at St. Delight Church, 976 LaGrange Road, LaGrange, N.C.
Mr. Ward will be laid to rest at Old Mill Cemetery, 3718 Central Heights Road, Goldsboro, N.C.
Viewing will be held Friday, July 7, 2017, from 5 to 7 p.m., with the family arriving to receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m., at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations of Goldsboro.
He was born June 18, 1937, in Wayne County to Simon and Mamie Bell Ward.
He is survived by his wife, elder Occie B. Ward, and three children, Dr. Frances Ward-Johnson of Raleigh, Deboria Ward Hill of Trenton and Roeshyon Ward of Goldsboro.
