W.C. POPE

Willie Cecil "W.C." Pope, 70, Goldsboro, passed away Monday, March 27, 2017, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
W.C. was born in Wayne County Nov. 4, 1945, to the late Cecil and Louise Bradshaw Pope.
He had retired from Carolina Telephone Co., and was a member of Goldsboro Elks Lodge No. 139 B.P.O.E.
W.C. will be remembered for being an avid fisherman.
Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 29, 2017, at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, with pastor Rick Mondell officiating.
The family will greet friends immediately following the service at the cemetery.
W.C. is survived by his son, Jeff Hood and wife, Debbie, of Goldsboro; sisters, Judy Musgrave and husband, Don, of Pikeville and Peggy Barnes of Snow Hill; two grandchildren, Jeffrey Hood and David Hood; and great-grandchildren, Aiden Hood and Riley Hood.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 107 Handley Park Court, Goldsboro, N.C., 27534.
