Frank Lee Bogue, 91, Fremont, went to be with his Heavenly Father Sunday, March 26, at his home surrounded by his wife, family and friends.

Mr. Bogue was born in Wayne County Sept. 22, 1925, to the late Benjamin Franklin and Ella Lancaster Bogue.

A service to celebrate his life will be held Thursday, March 30, 2017, at 2 p.m. at Fremont Free Will Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Fremont.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, March 29, 2017, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home, 102 N. Pine St. in Fremont.

Frank Lee was a loving husband, father and grandfather and a wonderful friend.

He was a lifetime farmer in Fremont, where he was known for his outstanding farming skills. His favorite place to be was home working on his farm.

He was a dedicated member of Fremont Free Will Baptist Church, where he served on the deacon board for many years.

Frank Lee is survived by his loving wife, Betty Jean Coley Bogue.

He is also survived by his children, Angie Hare and husband, Donnie, of Wilson, Wanda Mallette and husband, Rodney, of Wake Forest, Frank Bogue Jr. and wife, Marie, of Chesapeake, Va., JoAnn Aldridge of Pink Hill and Allen Bedford and wife, Eucelan, of Bucknell, Fla.; his grandchildren, Joel Hare and wife, Kristen, Brian Hare and wife, Olivia, Shelley Hare, Eric Mallette, Justin Mallette and wife, Lauren, Ella Bogue, Wesley Aldridge, Hailey Aldridge, Megan Dulin and husband, Britt, Justin Bedford and Gracie Bedford; as well as his great-grandchildren, Aaron, Parker, Andrew, Calvin, Oliver, Cody, Hunter, Colton and Amelia; his brothers, Thomas Bogue and wife, Glennie, and Hugh Daniel Bogue; along with many loving nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Bogue was preceded in death by his grandson, Rodney Alton Mallette Jr.; his sisters, Annie Thompson, Mildred Lancaster, Ruth Mercer and Linda Killen; and his brothers, William Bogue and Milton Bogue.

Although flowers are welcome, contributions may be directed to Fremont Free Will Baptist Church, 106 W. South St., Fremont, N.C., 27830.
