Annie Mae Boykin, 79, passed away Tuesday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 7 to 8 p.m. at Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home in Fremont.
Ms. Boykin was born Sept. 5, 1937, in Wilson County to the late James and Annie Howell Hillard.
She is survived by her sister, Marie Lucas and husband, Johnnie, of Wilson, and her niece, Deborah Ballance and husband, Gerald, of Pikeville, and their children, Ann Marie and Bryant Ballance.
Ms. Boykin was preceded in death by her brother, James Carl Boykin.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She was a graduate of Wilson School of Nursing, and a retired RN with Special Care Center of Wilson.
A graveside service will be held Friday at 3:30 p.m. at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Wilson.
