Geneva Doris Adams Petrak, 77, went to be with her Lord and Savior Friday, Feb. 3, 2017, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center surrounded by her loving family.
Funeral service will be held Monday, Feb. 6, 2017, at 7 p.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Goldsboro where she was a member.
The family will receive friends following the service.
Burial will be held at Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2017, at 10 a.m. at Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Goldsboro.
Doris was born in Wayne County Sept. 29, 1939, to the late Edward Braxton and Effie Strickland Adams.
She is survived by her loving husband, Ned V. Petrak; one son, James Price of Seven Springs; one daughter, Jackie Price Mallam of Seven Springs; three stepdaughters, Patty Lynn Sartin and husband, Terry, of Greensboro, Peggy Sue Petrak of Vanceboro and Margie Yvette Brooks and husband, Frank, of Oregon; one brother, Morris Adams and wife, Dorothy, of Seven Springs; one sister, Judy Davis of Goldsboro; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro.
