RUDOLPH A. HORNE

Rudolph Allen Horne, 77, Pikeville, passed away Thursday, Nov. 17, 2016, at SECU Hospice House in Smithfield surrounded by his family.

Rudolph was born in Wayne County, N.C., Jan. 28, 1939, to the late Roman Allen Horne and Myrtle Rowe Horne.

He was an exceptional cabinet maker and minister.

Rudolph was a self-taught artist.

He was member of Liberty Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Rudolph was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He will be greatly missed.

A service to celebrate Rudolph's life will be Saturday, Nov. 19, 2016, at 4 p.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home, with the Rev. Barry House officiating.

Rudolph is survived by his wife of 15 years, Sally McLeroy Horne; daughters, Beverly Pate and husband, Ronnie, and Sandra Murphy of Pikeville; and sons, Vince Horne and wife, Vicki, of Florida and Thomas R. Floyd and wife, Melinda, of Raleigh.

He is also survived by his sister, Shelda Johnson and husband, Wade, of Goldsboro; eight grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and his canine friend, Rebel.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Liberty Pentecostal Holiness Church, 206 Country Day Road, Goldsboro, N.C., 27530.

The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home and at other times, at the home of Beverly and Ronnie Pate, 960 Hinnant Road, Pikeville, N.C.
