Dillard Melton Jr., 65, 1460 Old Grantham Road, died Tuesday at home.
Funeral will be Monday at noon in J.B. Rhodes Jr. Memorial Chapel at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations. Burial will be 2 p.m. at Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery with military honors.
He was born in Wayne County to Dillard Sr. and Alvenia Atkinson Melton.
Visitation will be Monday from 11 a.m. to noon at the funeral home. The family will receive friends at the home of his sister, Murdis Jenkins, 400 Shadowy Lane, Goldsboro, where it will assemble for the funeral procession.
