Mrs. Henrietta Hodges Harper was born April 2, 1927, to the late Willie Isaac “Boose” Hodges and Juanita Odessa Spence Hodges of Eureka.

Tuesday, April 5, 2016, at 5:21 a.m., God peacefully called her home at the residence of her niece, Judy Hodges, in Goldsboro.

She was married to the late Ezekiel Harper Jr. for 66 years.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Annie Virginia Hodges Jones and Gladys Odessa Hodges Harper.

She is survived by her sister-in-law, Mary Harper Hicks of Fremont, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

The family would like to thank Wayne Memorial Hospital, Southeastern Medical Oncology Center, Wayne Radiology, Assisted Care at Home, Respra Care Inc. and Community Home Care and Hospice for the special care received for its loved one.

A public viewing will be held Friday, April 8, 2016, from 3 to 6 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Chapel of Goldsboro.

Visitation will be Saturday, April 9, at 1 p.m. in Hamilton Funeral Chapel in Goldsboro, with the family present.

A committal service will be held at 2:30 p.m. at Broadhurst Family Cemetery in Seven Springs.

At other times, the family will meet at 152 Sandy Lane Road in Goldsboro.
