ROBERT "BUDDY" SWINSON

Robert Benjamin "Buddy" Swinson, 86, of Mount Olive passed away at his residence.
He was the son of the late Emmett and Lucy Brock Swinson and the husband of Norma Sampson Swinson.
Mr. Swinson was a farmer, a veteran of the United States Army and a member of Eureka Christian Church.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home with the Rev. Frank Purvis officiating.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Committal services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Wayne Memorial Park.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Swinson is survived by his daughters, Debbie King and husband, Brent, of Garner and Kimberly Swinson-Blackman and husband, Allison, of Raleigh; grandchildren, Jackson Benjamin King of Arlington, Va. and Krista Breanne King of Garner; sisters, Jane Ziers of St. Augustine, Fla., Nell Burch of Mount Olive and Patricia Ezzell of Dudley.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Swinson was preceded in death by his sisters, Peggy Brock, Barbara Henderson and Glenda Honrine and brothers, Eldridge "Woozle" Swinson and Jack Swinson.
