Howard Norman Bond, 81, died Saturday at Lower Cape Fear Hospice Center in Wilmington.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. today in Riverview Memorial Park in Watha.
He was born Aug. 13, 1934, in Miami, Fla., to the late Edward Thomas Bond and Eleanor Bishop Bond. He was married to Rachel Bond of Garner.
He is survived by a son, a stepson, a daughter and a stepdaughter.
Arrangements are by Community Funeral Home of Rose Hill.
