Kenneth Wayne Hare, 69, Goldsboro, passed away Monday evening at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Kenneth was born in Wilson County Oct. 29, 1946, to the late Wilford Chester Hare and Margaret Moore Hare.
He retired from Cherry Hospital as a health care technician.
Kenneth always enjoyed spending time with his friends at Moore's Pool Hall.
The family will receive friends Saturday, March 5, 2016, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, followed by a graveside service at 2 p.m. in Pikeville Cemetery, with the Rev. Rose Hicks officiating.
Kenneth is survived by his sister, Gloria Hare Bland and husband, Peter, of Novato, Calif.; sister-in-law, Gaye Lancaster Hare of Pikeville; nieces, Elizabeth Van Hoy of Savannah, Ga., Sarah Conrad Van Hoy (Tess) of Roseville, Calif., and Susan Herring of Pikeville; nephew, Chris Hare (Mitzi) of Pikeville; three great-nieces; and one great-nephew.
In addition to his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by his brother, Ray Hare.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. Joseph United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 43, Pikeville, N.C., 27863.
