Garrett James Burchard, 11, better known as G, left this earthly life Thursday, Feb. 25, 2016, at home.
A service to celebrate his life will be held Sunday, Feb. 28, 2016, at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro.
The family will receive friends following the service.
G was a student at Spring Creek Middle School, and was very athletic. He enjoyed playing sports of all kinds, including football, baseball and basketball. He will be missed by all those at school and his teammates.
He leaves behind to cherish his loving memory his parents, Archie H. Burchard III and Jessica Burchard; paternal grandparents, Archie H. Burchard Jr. and wife, Barbra, of Alabama; maternal grandparents, Paul and Sherolyn Flournoy of Alabama and Jerry and Shelia Baxley of Alabama; paternal great-grandmother, Jane Allen of South Carolina; three uncles, Billy Flournoy, Davey Lynn and Dirk Burchard all of Alabama; and his cousin, Slayton Flournoy.
G’s smile and laughter will always be remembered, and will remain forever in our hearts. We’ll see you again one day.
