James Lee Bass, 87, Four Oaks, died Saturday, Feb. 27, 2016.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, March 1, 2016, at 2 p.m. at Mill Creek Christian Church of Four Oaks, with the Rev. Jerry Burton officiating. Interment will be in Mill Creek Christian Church Cemetery of Four Oaks.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, Feb. 29, from 6 to 8 p.m.
He is survived by his wife, Catherine L. Bass; son, Roger Bass and wife, Kathy, of Bentonville; daughters, Karen Bossie and husband, Alan, of Willow Spring and Janet Bass Harmon of Raleigh; grandchilldren, Brian Pope and wife, Leigh Anne, Michael Pope and wife, Amy, Lauren Roelofs and husband, Ben, Keith Eason and wife, Misty, and Blair Harmon; great-grandchildren, Lillie, Tanner, Grayson, Kyleigh, William, Lance, Joshua and Makenzie; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by parents, Burt and Della Bass; sister, Lucille Vest; and first wife, Shirley Jean Morris Bass.
Memorials may be made to Mill Creek Christian Church or Bentonville Volunteer Fire Dept.
